I have been told, If there is a desire that is beyond your grasp, send the wish to the universe and it may happen. So here is the NutriCoach wish list for the things I would like for the website that are not in my budget.
I guess first on the list would be really good web editing software to make the job of creating and maintaining the web site much easier. The best seems to be Studio 8. With a price tag of $999 I will continue to use 1st Page and build pages the old fashion way with HTML and a lot of sweat. Studio 8 is the current renamed version of Dreamweaver. It would also allow me to get away from SiteStudio which is required at present for the navigation aspects of this site, but adds lots of HTML.4 errors.
Studio 8 offers the broadest range of creative tools for expressiveness and creation of vibrant interactive media, websites, or applications. Use advanced graphics, text, animation, video, and audio tools with precision control and quality. From simple animated graphics to sophisticated interactive experiences, Studio 8 provides a full suite of tools for limitless creativity.
Next would have to be an advertising budget. Regardless of my desire to contribute to a healthier world, advertising is the best way to help spread the word. I would see buying into an opt-in email list, professional SEO (search engine optimization) and pay per click with google, Yahoo search and MSNsearch. Again a pretty hefty price tag. A good advertising campaign could easily cost $10,000 and up. For the time being NutriCoach is dependent on word of mouth and my abilities at SEO.
My next wish does not necessarily cost money. I would love to have a committee of medical professionals who are dedicated to better health and willing to give over site and contribute articles on relevant health and nutrition issues.
A good reliable computer definitely makes the list. My emachines T2825 has crashed several times causing loss of data, email addresses, programs and loss of time. Since it is a wish, I would wish for a computer that is solid and reliable. PC world rates Alienware Aurora 5500 as their top pick for 2005. What PC world has to say about the Alienware Aurora 5500. "PERFORMANCE PC ($3500) Powered by a very capable 2.6-GHz Athlon 64 FX-55 processor, the Aurora 5500 embodies what Alienware does best. Quick and well designed, it exudes a sophisticated cool that will appeal to many users. This is currently our speed-record-holding desktop system. Look no further if you want a blazingly fast PC." I would be happy with any good reliable PC.

Because of budget constraints I use the midphase MegaPhase $7.95 per month plan. I would love to be able to use a dedicated server but at a minimum of $99 per month that will be out of the question for a long long time. A VPS (Virtual Personal Server $19.95 or $39.95) will be required at some time in the future and would be nice now but again, just not in the budget.
There are always other nice to have programs and peripherals. In the mean-time I will continue do the best I can with what I have and hope I am reaching people who are gaining health benefits from the work I am doing
